The Skype VoSKY Exchange

By My status Scott Davison on May 1, 2007 in .

Skype and VoSKY Technologies have recently annoucnced a co-branded version of VoSKY Exchange, a rackmountable PBX-to-Skype gateway that enables business users to make and receive Internet-based Skype calls over standard office phones. The co-branded Skype VoSKY Exchange 9040 and 9140 products are available in the UK and Rep. of Ireland.

Both models of Skype VoSKY Exchange add four Skype lines to the office PBX without requiring changes to the existing PBX or desk phone infrastructure. Multiple Exchange boxes can be set up in different company offices anywhere in the world for free calling between sites. Calls to other Skype users are also free, while calls to non-Skype users are typically charged at SkypeOut global rates.

The Skype VoSKY Exchange enhances your current phone system by enabling you to make, receive and transfer Skype calls using standard desk or mobile telephones throughout your company.

If you are interested in this solution for your business, you can [request further information](http://www.vosky.com/event/uk/20070426/index2.php?lang=uk) or have one of our sales representatives contact you to discuss your requirements.

I would be very interested in following a more open-forum discussion regarding the comparative attributes and qualities of Skip2PBX (a Linux-based software which has a compatibility with different available hardwares) and Vosky, which I believe is Windows based with support limited to their own.
The further I dive into these matters, the more intriguing becomes this apparently brilliant contender from Italy (Skip2PBX) as a Skype to PBX solution.
