Introducing Lester Madden

Greetings to all of you! Let me introduce myself.
I’m Lester Madden, and have recently joined the Skype fold to help Lenn Pryor and Mat Taylor run the developer programs here at Skype. Like Lenn I am also ex-Microsoft where spent the last 10 years. 4 of those years were in technical support with the last 6 being a Developer Evangelist helping developers build applications. If you have ever used the WeRock247, Football247 or WeFly247 training DVDs they were just some of the projects I created while at Microsoft. If not take a look at www.learn247.net so you can get an idea of the kinds of things you can expect from me.
Today is day two of life at Skype, I am still feeling like the preverbal headless chicken, I have been introduced to many people, been given a PC, pointed to a desk, and given a bunch of tasks to do.
One of the tasks, and the most important, is to help you guys and to ensure that you have everything you need to be successful when developing your Skype applications.
My initial list consists of thinks I want to do are:
* events/seminars
* training workshops
* well documented API’s
* sample code
* knowledge base
* great training resources.
It’s a daunting task, so much to do, so much to learn, but I am here for you, so you can help me get off to a flying start by answering the following question.
What resources can we provide to make your development lives easier?
You have seen my list of things I want to do, but ultimately this is about you and making sure you have what you need.
You can post your responses here, or if you prefer feel free to SkypeMe (Lestermadden) or email me (Lester.Madden@skype.net) whatever works best for you. – I don’t bite and would love to hear from you.

WOW you guys are super keen on SkypeNet and SkypeWeb and are just hungry for more details. My inbox is jam packed with SkypeNet/SkypeWeb queries.
We are still putting the finishing touches to the programs right now so have nothing that we can share today.
However if you want to get the details before it goes on general release then drop an email to either:
skypenet@skype.com – SkypeNet
skypeweb@skype.com – SkypeWeb
Depending on your area of interest.
Those that register will receive all the details the moment it's ready. (Getting you the information before it goes on general release).
