Yesterday we held our first Skype Day in Tokyo and had around 1,400 developers attend from Asia.

Nikklas Zennstrom the Skype CEO gave a demo of Skype video during his keynote presentation which looks very good so keep an eye out for the interview with Mike Bartlett for an in-depth interview.

I recorded the first 2 presentations and will take a look at them when I get back later in the week. I found a place to film at the very back of the room and think I tested the video camera to its limits. If the audio comes out ok then I will get the videos packaged up and put in the LearningZone on Thursday.

After the first 2 presentations the audio switched to Japanese and were not translated in to English, so I went and made myself busy in the exhibitors area where we had around 30 exhibitors showing their Skype enabled solutions. Lots of cool Skype gadgets on display, so I made a nuisance of myself waving the video camera around.

I am still suffering from the jetlag, yesterday I went to put my camera back in the hotel room so I could go out for dinner. I sat on the bed and the next time I opened my eyes it was 11:30pm so I had to settle for a bag of M&Ms from the minibar for dinner (I saved the pretzels for breakfast).
