Old Versions

Sometimes developers need access to old versions of other software -- for example, in order to make sure their stuff is backwards compatible with earlier releases of whatever external apps they work with. So we have built a directory of historic builds of Skype client software; it is available to all logged-in users of Skype Developer Zone in the Download section. Enjoy!

I'm trying to get access to the Older downloads, and when I try to log in, it rejects me. As you see, i've been able to log in and post a blog entry... Do I need some other special access to be able to download the Skype Cocoa API? Where is the download link to this?
Thanx

You have to log into DevZone with your Skype name and password before you can access these downloads. Note that the login on top of this page here does not apply for DevZone; you have to log in right there.

I am unable to open skype. My current computer is a Mac iBook that is OS X version 10.4.11 and the processor is a G3 (not G4). I am able to download Skype and it claims that I have opened it but it does not pull up on my screen from the applications when I click on it. How do I access an older version of skype to download so I am able to use skype? I was previously using skype on a Dell computer. Thanks.

I'm also trying to get an old version of Skype. I have a Powerbook G3 that is OSX 10.3.9. I tried going through DevZone and got to the point where it said:
"Old Versions
Only people who have signed a NDA with Skype can download OldVersions of Skype client software."
What's an NDA? and do I really need to sign one just to get an old version of Skype? Thanks, Rob

NDA is a non-disclosure agreement.
Skype keeps introducing new features and improving the existing ones in our client software. In order to fully benefit from the improvements, e.g. better audio quality, new clients have to be used in both ends of the communication link. Keeping the interests of the entire Skype user community in mind, but recognising that developers of other products that work with Skype may want to ensure that updated versions of **their** products work well with older versions of Skype software, we limit the availability of such old versions to our developer partners only.
