A perfect stranger, do you want to be the next one?

This week, Skype is going to launch a really interesting pilot within Extras which will promote a movie from Sony Pictures called Perfect Stranger.
We have teamed up with Pablo and his team from veroSee to deliver a unique campaign based on a puzzle that reveals the various film characters.
If this campaign pilot proves successful we may look at running others. The concept, will be to work with a limited number of clients to run promotions using the extra products.
My thinking is that this will create value in the following ways:
1. Driving extras usage – By running interesting campaigns we are going to generate PR and encourage users to visit the extra manager and downloads extras within the campaign. This raised awareness should create a knock on effect and increase usage.
2. Revenue – Incremental revenue is generated for both the extras partners involved and Skype.
3. Clients – This channel will provide an alternative way for tier one brands to run promotions using the viral power of Skype and extras products.
