When we first announced the Skype public platform roadmap in Prague, I promised that the roadmap will be periodically updated. The month is over, and here's a summary of what we've been doing.

On Jira, we've touched 99 issues in the projects SPA, PIF, and JSA; 23 new issues had been filed and 34 issues closed. Half of the closed issues got a positive resolution, 10 were duplicates and 4 non-reproducible, and we had to reject 3 requests. At the end of month, 167 issues (93 bug reports and 74 feature requests) were still open. The detailed list of all Jira cases closed in September is available here.

Regarding the four projects slated for Q4, we've agreed the initial delivery calendar. While changes are still possible, we expect to have the non-interactive login on Linux in beta by end of October, open-source Skype4COM available in mid-November, functional specs of the Unified Directory Web Services published by the end of November, and first specs of the Conversation API available before Christmas.

A few developers have already started contributing to the "idea pool" section of the roadmap. If you feel that you've got something to say, then please do ping me to get added into the roadmappers group and its companion group chat. Remember that your input is essential. The higher the quality of your feature requests, the better we will be able to implement them.
