Personalise Skype launched

Personalise Skype has been launched! It's a service that allows you to break out of the familiar Skype sounds, ringtones and pictures "box" and download some first rate pictures for your profile and ringtones to make your cat purr or make your neighbours go mad. We're all different so why should I have the same ringtone for incoming calls as Jaanus and having default Skype picture in the profile is no fun at all. Also, it helps your friends to find you in their contact list.

Personalize Skype requires the new Skype for Windows 1.4 [that we just made available as beta](http://www.skype.com/products/skype/windows/).
While Personalise Skype is a paid service, you'll always be able to pick your favourite images from default Skype pictures or add your own for free. Same goes for the ringtones and sounds.
Personalise Skype service works only with Skype for Windows 1.4 which was just released into beta. This means that while we've done our best to make everything work as it should there could be occasional hiccups and we'd appreciate if you [let our Customer Support know about it](http://www.skype.com/go/help.ticket.submit). That's the fastest way to fix bugs and just generally give feedback.

Isn't the price of Personalise little too high? With 1 Euro I can use SkypeOut in Global Rate for almost 60 minutes. I don't thik that someone will change 1 hour of talking for little picture or short sound effect...

i know Skype it's better than every other im or else, but i think i won't pay for customize my skype.. none of the others im do this! maybe it would be good to open this possibility and share our ringtones with other skype users on this site! (something like "ilovemessenger")

Hi there
hope anyone reads this who's able to help me. My skypeout account couldn't be reloaded, since I never receive that promised email. So I opened up a new account, with a new name. Apparently your not supposed to use the same credit card, which I didn't know. So now I am having two names and none of them works anymore for skype out, GREAT.
So far I was very pleased, but THIS is really disaponiting:-(
Especially because I was not informed about this before.

I had the same problem. I sent a message to SKYPE telling them about the problem and since they couldn't fix it I was going to uninstall SKYPE and not use it any more. AND I did uninstall it. Of cause they fixed it and I was back on SKYPE with my credit applied to both of my computers. So far everything is working out well.
