Skype now in RadioShack

Skype is now available in [RadioShack](http://www.radioshack.com). RadioShack is a big US consumer electronics store. Did you know that 94% of the people in USA live within 5 minutes of one of the 7,000 RadioShack stores? More than 3,000 of those stores now have a Skype stand where you can buy Skype-certified hardware, be it a fancy cordless Skype phone or just a starter pack with earbuds and 30 SkypeOut minutes. The starter pack at RadioShack costs just $4.99.

great news! I'm glad Skype has done so well. I'll see if there is a kit in RS, here in Mexico.

shaunjenny: it's not a cellphone, it's a Skype cordless phone Linksys CIT200 that we also reviewed here recently.

The "fraudprotection" schemes you use are an incredible pain to try to work through! Please make some changes there! I use Skypeout very frequently and have to buy credits all the time. But you limit my creditcard usage too much! ALso, Moneybookers is USELESS if you live in the US. Their stupid control system relies on entry of a Euro amount they post to my account. Well, I see that in US dollars, so I have to guess at the Euro amount, and when I guess wrong, they shut me out for 24 hours! I am really frustrated! Is Skype not now US based? Please! Accomodate your US customer base as much as the European crowd!

Nothing but love and respect for Skype and its ongoing efforts. Keep on rockin' the FREE world...

Was just in Radio Shack tonight, and the people in this particular store had no idea what Skype was, and were even having trouble understanding VOIP.

That Radio shack Kit is $9.99 in every Radio shack store here in florida.

I thought at $4.99 it was a steal and wanted to give it as stocking stuffers for all my relatives, but at double the price they're advertising, it's a little much!
