SkypeIn comes to Switzerland

We launched SkypeIn numbers in Switzerland (Zurich area) approx. 45 minutes ago. To buy them, just go to our [web store](http://www.skype.com/go/store), click on "SkypeIn (BETA)" and pick Switzerland from the list of countries.
As with [Germany](http://share.skype.com/blog/products_and_services/skypein_germany/), some restrictions apply -- you have to be a Swiss resident.
The response has been great, and we have been told this is considered as the best thing that has happened to Switzerland since 1971. This was the year when women were granted the right to vote on a federal level (note: that it was only in 1990 that the last province in Switzerland gave women the full right to vote).

This is excellent news, even though it is not my desired region. Hopefully, more countries will be added, sooner rather than later. Well done, but do not be complacent, there is still a lot to do. More users are waiting for SkypeIns in other countries or regions.

Yes - great and exciting news indeed. Can't agree with b_gillieron though. Got my number about 30 minutes after the news was released and it still doesn't work. If I call my SkypeIn number from my landline I can hear it ring 4 times on my phone, and with the 4th ring my skype rings once and I get a busy tone on the phone - that's it. Hopefully this will be sorted soon.

First of all, I think skypeIn is a really good feature that skype is offering, but I'm really amazed that skype doesn't offer this service in the Netherlands. I live in Amsterdam, and in my street only there are more than 40 wifi points. An Amsterdam company is now building one of the largest wifi networks in the world, so I think there enough reason why this service in the netherlands would be very,very succesfull.
I really hope you will launch this service really fast.

THANK YOU SKYPE
Finally, SkypeIn is available in Switzerland. I have been waiting for it passionately and got myself a cool number 044 586 86 .. while being in L.A a couple of days ago. I am now back in Switzerland and my SkypeIn number works perfectly fine. My friend called me on my SkypeIn number with his mobile while I was online in L.A. The connection was really good. Now, back home in Switzerland (Zurich area), I have called my SkypeIn number using my mobile and my landline leaving test messages without any problems! The timing is perfect! I just gave notice to my landline contract by the end of this year and there comes what I have been waiting for 
Thank you Skype - keep it up and if one day Apple's iSight webcams will be compatible with Skype for video conferencing to PC and MAC, you will defently be my number one program for communication!

Perfect! I just got my skypeIn Number for Switzerland! It works perfectly! Thank you for the additional free voice mail service! There is only one question left. Can I get a number in Germany too? (residence problem)

SkypeIN really rulez ! I got my SkypeIN Number a few days ago and it's great. I switched from Swisscom to Econophone one year ago and now I switched to Skype ! Hopefully there will be some other fantastic features in future.
