Jaanus on December 16, 2005 in Skype Beta and new releases.
[Here's a chance to win a free webcam in the next two weeks.](http://www.skype.com/campaigns/giftcerts2005/) Just buy some [Gift Certificates](http://www.skype.com/go/help.faq.giftcertificates) and you automatically enter the lottery. Even if you already have a webcam, you can give this one to someone you care about, so you can enjoy Skype video calls with them.

Why would I make another purchase for a gift certificate when my purchase to start the account has not even registered, I've been largely ignored and account has not been activated?
I registered and purchased SkypeOut credit on December 4, 2005 - almost two weeks ago and the account has not been activated!! Receipt from Paypal confirming clearance for echeck was received Wed, 07 Dec 2005. (And since when does Paypal transfer take three days through a bank account????)
My members area says I have not purchased credit and my email inquiry has been ignored.
WHAT DO I need to do and/or WHO do I need to talk to in order to get this service in working order?
Good grief, this has been almost two weeks, UNBELIEVABLE!! I am thoroughly disgusted.

e-mail enquiry to skype? poor u, u got to give it another 3 weeks or so. what do u need to do? wait according to skype. who do u need to talk to? well now thats an issue a lot of ppl have brought to skype's attention but as far as im aware thats not been addressed by skype... so far i've only ever had communication from skype super users, but surely skype has some proper staff and not just volunteer users on their team? two weeks i hear u shout, well consider urself lucky, i think in my second i was ready to shoot the pc...wait i think thats y i had to buy this new one, well im assuming u've not had to do that, so yes consider urself lucky, at least u havent shot ur pc.
ok a lil more serious now (no skype never is btu i can be at times). have a look at skypes main page, this is what it says: "Skype supporting a real "Skype" business". what does it mean? im not understanding it. it seems to me skype only support themselves in taking all ur money, they're certainly not supporting me.i think the "real "skype" business" is the one aimed at making money from people through being sneaky.
sorry skype im really not such a bad person, just need to let off a lil steam once in a while, and it always seems to be poor u that get caught. ha ha ha ha ha

Hi, I suggest you track back from Paypal the payment you made and check your bank account if it has been debited.
Payments via bank transfer are not the best, speed speaking.
If all the above has been done and nothing happened on your account, I suggest you check Paypal in the complaints departement; they should help you.
As personal experience, I never had any problem to credit my skype out account via paypal or credit card.
However, as it is Christmas nearby, I find very nice to be able to send some Skype Gift Certificates to someone you dear and I think it was the initial topic of the subject.
Regards

Yes, serge, the topic is gift certificates, which, if you read my entire post, you will see I addressed that topic. I've sent several support tickets and emailed every address I could find for skype, including feedback, etc....NO RESPONSE at all. Trying to get answer somewhere, anywhere. Appreciate your feedback...
Yes, the payment has been made. skype collected the money, no problem, almost two weeks ago. echeck was received Wed, 07 Dec 2005. (And since when does Paypal transfer take three days through a bank account????) That's the point. Paid for, but no service. I would have used a credit card had I thought for one second Paypal would be a problem. It NEVER has before.
Apparently, the forum is pointless, also, eh?
Was trying to hold off on Paypal complaint to give Skype the benefit of the doubt and enough complaints (of which I'm sure I'm not the first and only!) then they will not have Paypal for payment options. I was, believe it or not, hoping to use the service!! I guess Lukman is right...they're taking the money and not supplying the service. So they deserve to be found out. Absolutely.
Find it interesting that noone in skype has replied to these entries...hmmmm? We know they're reading it to see how much money they can grab up for gift certificates now. Whether or not the users who receive them can access the service remains to be seen...I wish them luck!

Waiting for Cam and Wee-Mee's for MAC!!! Bring it on!!! Mac users love Skype and hate MSN because ... well... Skype's better and at least tries to give Mac Users the same features! Bring it on and I'll gladly buy a gift certificate.

hi! i just find my name in the winners' list , but how come i didn't informed about that? how can i get the cam anyway?

I, too, have the same question. How can I use my web cam with Skype on my Mac ?
Is there a way ? or, do I have to use iChat, Yahoo or one of those others ?
There does not seem to be an answer anywhere online or anyone interested in the Macs having that feature.
