The community folks at eBay have started a fresh new [Chatter blog](http://www.ebaychatter.com/). Well, it's not totally new. They have had the Chatter newsletter for years and they're still [keeping the archives around](http://pages.ebay.com/community/chatter/archive). As time goes on, the history becomes only more valuable, so it's good to keep it. But now the community news are in a fresh new blog format -- great. They even have a separate [Skype category](http://ebaychatter.typepad.com/the_chatter/skype/index.html), where they and myself will be looking at various topics connected with eBay and Skype.
I visited the eBay community team a couple of weeks back to learn more about their work and the eBay community. Both companies are really about the community and there's a lot we can learn from and share with each other. Among other things, I saw there are a lot of folks at eBay who actually refer to this blog to find out about what's up at Skype. Hi to you all
And welcome, eBay, to the world of blogs. I hear blogs and sharing will be a big theme for eBay going forward, so let's see what else they come up with down the road.
Oh, and while we're at it, both myself and the eBay community team will also be present at eBay Live! this year. I'll be coming in already for the developer conference. ([Read more about Skype at the DevCon.](http://share.skype.com/sites/devzone/2006/05/meeting_skype_at_the_ebay_devc.html)) So come say hi.
