The Asian Internet disruption

Earthquake near Taiwan disrupts Asian communications. Anothr.com says that [they are affected too](http://blog.anothr.com/?p=142).
> Anothr.com is still alive; but our server had been influenced, some international feed can’t verify before the recovery.
Anyone from here in that region? Are you seeing any effects of the earthquake? Both with Skype and with the rest of your Internet and phone communications? Please post your stories here or [in the forum](http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showtopic=72929).

I'm in southwestern Japan. I don't know if that counts as being in the "region" but I have not noticed any effects on my service. I'm running on 100MB/s FTTH and everything appears to be operating normally. I am able to make and receive Skypeout calls without issues as well.

My colleagues in China report huge problems accessing foreign sites and Hotmail and Yahoo mail. I, in Taipei, Taiwan, however, have had absolutely no problems today accessing any of the "usual suspect" sites such as Yahoo, Google, Gmail, Blogspot, Techcrunch, etc.
IM such as Skype and MSN Messenger are working fine.
One friend in Taiwan indicated that he is accessing Web sites rather slowly though.

The Internet in Mainland China became an "intranet".
I live in USA. I can not access any web site whose server locates in mainland China. Then I read some news that the Internet in Mainland China became an "intranet" since the earthquake broke the fiber-optic between China and USA. Nobody in China can access any web site out of China now. MSN and other IMs got broken also. So far Email and RSS work.

News updated: (unofficial) It will take about one month to fix the fiber-optics.

I live in Germany, and I can temporarily not access most of the chinese website, some accessible website is too difficult to fully load. But luckily Skypeout works under this situation, I call to some guy in China Mainland and the connection quality is not that bad.

I speak chat to China, Taichung-Taiwan and Cebu City in the Pilippines and the service for both Skype and MSN. I also spoke to Malaysia and the sound level was of very poor quality and even speaking via skypeout to the UK on Christmas day was a disaster the call being cut every couple of minutes
