Yesterday we put out [this piece of news](http://about.skype.com/2007/04/skype_extras_surpass_10_million_third-party_plug-in_downloads.html) about how more than 10 million Extras have been downloaded from our [Extras Gallery](https://extras.skype.com/), with [CrazyTalk](https://extras.skype.com/69/view) and [Pamela](https://extras.skype.com/65/view) being among the more popular ones.

Just out of curiosity, I pulled our records about how quickly Skype itself reached 10 million downloads. We released Skype in August 2003, and it hit 10 million downloads in April 2004, bringing it to roughly six months. For the extras, it only took four months. So I think this is a powerful example of how Skype continues to foster ecosystems and complementary businesses around it. Hopefully we can show similar figures with our other new initiatives down the road.
