Where we are at 0400 GMT

By My status Sten on August 17, 2007 in News, events, milestones.

Hello,

just wanted to drop a line that everyone at Skype working on resolving the sign-on issue is still up. We're fixing issues in our networking software and monitoring the clients getting online with increased success.

It's been a loooong day (and night) for many and we are gradually moving to new shifts of fresh brains to help out those getting to well deserved few hours of sleep. Be sure that the Skype family as a whole will not retire before you can get back to all the Skype conversations you want, need or just feel like having. Sorry for keeping you split that long.

Congratulations on progress!
I was able to sign in and there's now almost 2 millions people online. I guess that's a really good sign. Just in time when a new day starts.
Thanks, mates!

connection is still wonky for now...i get to sign in, but after a few seconds i get logged off again. But, I was able to make a call already, which means there is progress in the issue. Keep up the good work, guys!

ARE WE GETTING CREDITED FOR THE DAY OR NOT ....

WILL ANYONE AT SKYPE ANSWER THIS QUESTION, or is this going to be like your regular no response customer service thing again and keep ignoring my request.

We understand things go down but when you're a business you accept no mistake specially if you're in NYC where life is fast at its best.

Any good company usually gives credit to its customers to keep loyalty.

I NEED MY CREDIT FOR THE DAY SO IS EVERYONE ELSE.

Hi Hard working people,

I understand what it is when something happens and you can not put your finger on it. For the last 8 years I'm working the Network Management business and I can only say "It stays software!!". As SLA management is also part of my responsibilities I do not believe Skype has a penalty agreement with customers and by that rule they can get away with credit refund I'm afraid. So don't get you hopes up.
Good luck!!!

from a Skype user in France. Impossible to log in since 24 hours aparently since I downloaded the new version. Skype was working very well before, and I do not see any progress with this new version. At the contrary, getting all your Outlook contacts in Skype with erroneous code number is very unpleasant- and getting undesired add or publicity too. I am checking now other provider like Voipbuster or Voipstunt wich work perfect for phone calls.

from Spain...
Yesterday and today I could contact only those on my contact list.I cannot and could not use the dial on Skype nor was the green button able to be used.I contacted those on contact list by clicking on the links for their numbers.
My wife is on a different computer and also has the same problem as does a friend of ours who is using a different server so it obviously is neither the computer nor server. Is there any advice as to what WE can do.esp.as I am preparing a business trip for next week to America.Thank you for a reply.

With $36.00 credit in my Skype Pro account I get an email announcing that I have no credit at all. What's happening?
