MySpaceIM with Skype goes live

MySpaceIM with Skype is now live and available to MySpace and Skype users. The new product is available in 20 countries where MySpace has localized communities and adds Skype voice calls to MySpace’s IM client, which has 25 million installed users.

It's these enlightened millions on MySpace that can now place free Skype calls to their friends on MySpace or Skype. The really, really nice bit is that MySpace users don't have to download any additional Skype software. And they can now link their MySpace profiles, photos or avatars to their Skype names. Ahead of the public release, more than half a million MySpace users had hooked up to the beta version of MySpaceIM with Skype.

While it may be a great news as Skype gets access to an install base of yet another 100 million, the notion that a partnership with MySpace means abandoning Facebook users, is haunting.

Is Skype restricted by MySpace contractual agreements that it can not introduce a Facebook application? Would Skype allow independent developers to build Skype applications for Facebook.

No IM between myspaceim and skype? voice only... is it in a future plans?

I just lost my Skype Credit? What? How can something I purchase legally EVER become "inactive"? I noticed my Skype Credit of $2.40 (not much mind you) but its the point here that counts. It disappeared. I NEVER login to Hotmail anymore, because I use social networks to communicate instead. I checked in for the first time in forever, and indeed I received an AUTOMATED-message saying in 3 days my Skype Credit expires... that's pretty lame. I hope someone can fix it, even though this is the wrong thread, the message was sent with a noreply e-mail address, and I wanted to get through to support.

I lost code for free 30 days voicemail that I received when I bought new comp.
