Skype for Windows 3.2 Gold

Today we have released new production version of Skype for Windows.

I would like to thank everyone who has given their feedback during beta period, it has helped us a lot on improving quality of the release .

I have been using Skype on a XP PC, but now I have a new PC with Vista and cannot get connection with the Skype server. Although I am online for Skype, I do not get my list of contacts and when I try to connect, I get the message: "Hi our server has taken a short break."
Does it have something to day with my settings, and if yes, what do I have to change?

What is the difference between the gold edition and the standard release?

Still no firewire camera support? I was hoping very much firewire support would be added in the latest release. For video calls I'm back to Messenger for now...

I'm having the same problem hajsberg is. On XP my skype worked great, on this new Vista machine Skype will not hold a connection to the server too long. I've gotten that "Short Break" message far too often, and it is annoying that I can't talk or chat with friends. I'll download the latest 3.2, but please get this compatible with Vista.

By the way - one other thing I noticed. Explorer recognizes my net connection just fine until I run Skype (under Vista). Then now only skype fails, but Explorer seeks forever looking for my sites. I can ping things okay, but not use Explorer AFTER skype fails. Before then, I can use Explorer all day, so thing is conflicting.

Still waiting for NTLM authentication (forum requests started in 2005), which will give a more confortable use in a serious environment...
