Today we have released a hotfix version of Skype 3.5 for Windows.

This new build addresses many issues from previous versions and due to that it is recommended for everyone to update their client, you can download the build right here.

You are welcomed to give a feedback to us how you like Skype, it’s features and also note to us if you have run into trouble when using Skype. You may discuss things on our forums or submit issue reports on our public issue tracker, learn how to do it on our Skype for Windows development page.

Changed compared to previous version are:

Skype 3.5.0.229 for Windows

• bugfix: Skype crashed when ending a call and Do More menu is open at the same time
• bugfix: Send Money did not work
• bugfix: Skype crashed when call was finished during call transfer attempt
• bugfix: Skype crashes on Windows 98 when receiving video
• bugfix: Video call freeze with some rare webcam’s
• bugfix: Skype crashed sometimes when not supported video capture device was used
• change: Updated language files

Today we have made another big step forward to be with Skype for Mac client on the same feature set as we are with Windows.

We have released a initial beta version of Skype 2.7 for Mac Beta version, grab it straight from here. I will remind to you that this is a public beta release, which means that it is not yet fully ready for production use, as it may have some rough edges in.

This new open beta incorporates many amusing new features, like:

• Address Book contacts in contact list
• Auto redial
• Contact groups
• Public chat creation
• Transfer preferences
• Volume slider in call window
• Added Norwegian (Bokmål), Czech (Čeština) Localizations. Thanks to Kenneth Stevenson, Lukáš Vajda.

Today we have released a hotfix for Skype 1.4 for Linux Beta version.

This hotfix solves one critical problem found in previous release, namely Skype crashed on start-up for some people when they had automatic login enabled.

Download the new version right now and upgrade your Skype to latest.

Today, one and half months after initial Skype 3.5 for Windows beta release , we are moving on with this product from open beta to stable production release, which is recommended for everyone.

We would like to thank everyone who has used the public beta version and have been helping us to nail out bumps and rough edges from the gold release. .

We encourage everyone to contribute, so we could make Skype even better for you all, with reporting us everything what seems to be malicious or when Skype does not work as you would expect, in addition your are very welcomed to request new features from us if you see anything missing. Today we have released an updated version of Skype 1.4 for Linux, after releasing the initial version in the middle of June, with codename “The Great Cucumber”, now we have had a great leap forward from cucumbers to “Salad Sandwich”.

This new release is only possible thanks to all of you, who have given their feedback and findings on the previous open beta build.
