Today we have released Skype 3.6 for Windows production release.
This new version brings to you High Quality Video Calling and a co-operation with MySpace. Read more from our main blog.

Newly released production version of Skype 3.6 bring you calling support with MySpace with Skype users, improved relayed file transfer speed and more stable video calls bitween fast and slow internet connection users.

It appears that the new version in video mode only allows snapshots and no motion as with the old release. Is there a fix for this. I have removed the program twice now and downloaded and installed with the same problem. I have also used the cam program to verify the cam is working. Still not video motion.

Me too.
The preview small windows remain freezed, but luckily, motion video is seen on the other side.
Of course drivers are ok, else no motion videao at all!
Any workaroud?

I recently installed Explorer version 7 (on Windows XP professional) and in combination with the new Skype 3.6 I am facing problems with Explorer. Explorer freezes when building a page. After removal of Skype 3.6, Explorer works fine again. Now I am looking for the previous version of Skype that worked well in combination with Explorer 7. Untill a patch for this issue is released by Skype, I need to install the previous release of Skype that worked well in combination with Explorer 7. Where can I find it?

I have the same problem on ver3.6 where the video freezing in the small preview window, it's a nice feature when it works properly as I'm able to see what the other side see. It seems like Skype can't help with a fix so I'm back on ver3.5 until Skype sort it out.

Ah well Just to join in the throng of the above...
Once 3.6 arrived my Preview Vid froze up although my Girlfriend could still see me fine.. Gone back to 3.5 and all works just fine again.
Though quality has fallen through the floor of late? Dropped call city! Nothing has changed on my connection side or anyone's I call (as far as I know! Besides its all of them!) Always happens when 10 million+ callers reported on-line.. Anyone else get that?
