During my fleeting stay, my recently pregnant sister asked me to be God mother! So excited and touched. It's due in October so looks like I will be coming back home for Christmas!

When you have a child you generally choose a man and woman to be the god parents. Basically they are there at the baptism and vow to look after the child if something ever happens to the parents. It's generally an auntie, uncle or close friend of the parents.
