George Bush gets a Skype phone from the Estonian PM

Now there have been suggestions in the past that US President and most powerful man on the planet George W Bush isn’t a huge telephone user, but hopefully that’s about to change.
During the usual exchanging of gifts during Bush’s visit to Estonia yesterday, Estonian Prime Minister Andrus Ansip presented the US Commander-in-chief with the latest in telephonic chic: the Philips VOIP841 Skype/DECT phone.
I think it’s pretty clear from the photos that GWB is impressed by the fact you can make both landline and Skype calls from the handset, not to mention the fact that it doesn’t even need a PC to run. In fact it is quite clear that President Bush can’t wait to get this plugged straight into his wifi router back in the Oval office, where he’ll have full access to his Skype buddies and voicemail right from the handset. He’ll even be able to search for new buddies from the phone.
News hasn’t reached Skypegear yet of a red version being built by Philips for Dubya to launch the nukes from, although perhaps with the VOIP841’s speedy one-touch dialling this is a blessing for all. Now, I’m off to search for Dubya on Skype…now what’s his user name?

Wow, first 'the Google' and now embedded Skype dual phones. Dubya really likes "that series of tubes" Sen. Stevens (R - Alaska) keeps chatting about.
