Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's a Superman Skype kit!

Now I think I can say with almost definite authority that whilst Clark Kent may use the odd public phone booth to change into Superman, when he gets back to his swanky city warehouse conversion he likes nothing better than to relax with a latte, flick on his Powerbook, and catch up wth Lois over Skype.
It also seems almost beyond discussion that Clark's earphone and mic of choice would come from Perfectel's Superman Skype starter kit. Available in superhero-style blue and red, with a neat clip presumably for attaching to lycra superhero outfits, the kits also include a Skype starter CD and 30 minutes of free SkypeOut calls (nb calls to Krypton or other extra-terrestrial locations not currently supported in Skype 2.6, but watch this space).
Perfectel are currently offering both an old-school DC comics Superman version, for the more discerning Superman watcher, and a Superman Returns version for the young whipper-snappers. Both are available via Pixmania in time for Christmas for a very terrestrial £5 / E8.

I bought one of these kits (not precisely the one pictures above but similar - without the superman) and the ear phone broke after the third time i used it. Given that skype offers such a high quality service and is so customer orientated i would have thought that the skype branded offering (which i chose over others due to the branding) would be of a good quality. Alas, I was wrong.

Moreover - this was the only place i could find to report hardware dissatisfaction, which is not the ideal place.
