Skype top search term for online retailer Dabs.com

We've already had Amazon.co.uk predict that Skype phones might be sitting under quite a few Christmas trees this year on the 25th, and now news reaches SkypeGear that Dabs.com are also seeing really healthy sales of Skype phones. In fact, according to Jonathan Wall at leading UK retailer Dabs.com, Skype phones are consistently in the top 3 most searched-for products on their site, and are currently the number 1 most searched for item.
Dabs have been working with Skype for a couple of years now, with the Olympia Skype Cordless DUALPhone forming a large chunk of those sales, but according to Wall they have recently seen a large surge in sales of both the Skype Wifi phones (such as the Netgear SPH101 and Belkin wifi phone), and DECT Skype phones such as the Philips VOIP321.
Certainly Skype phones have been flying off the shelves, and it's interesting to see how some consumers are favouring wifi whilst here is still a huge group of users who are favouring the cordless PSTN/Skype phones such as the DUALPhone 3088, reviewed earlier this month. Dabs are a really impressive innovator of a retailer, who recently made their huge archive of video product reviews available to users via Dabs.TV, so hopefully they will continue to see the advantages that having Skype as part of their product set brings. And Jonathan Wall's Skype phone of choice? The Philips VOIP321, for keeping in touch with his wife's far-flung relatives. Go on Jonathan, treat yourself to a wifi phone for Christmas...:)
