It's been quite a week for Skype gadget competitions, and they're still coming! Gadgetcandy ("Because girls love gadgets too") have got their hands on no less than five shiny Philips cordless Skype phones to give away to their readers.
For those not familiar with Philips' VoIP841, it really is a neat device which doesn't need a PC to run, doubles up as a normal landline phone, and just plugs straight into your router or broadband modem. Skypegear reviewed it a little while ago, and we were impressed with its stylish looks, ease of use and sound quality.
The other great part of this competition is that it's so easy! All you need to do is answer a simple multiple choice question:
The Philips VOIP841 boasts a range of...
a) 100 metres
b) 200 metres
c) 300 metres.
Not meaning to give anything away, reading GadgetCandy's post might help you out on that one...!

I have been using a voip841 for 3 days. When I tried to make a call today as soon as I pressed the talk button the phone went dead. No signs of any life anywhere.
I replaced the battery because it was not charging properly, but no change. I pressed the page button at base and I get a red light.
Any ideas.

When will the Voip 841 be made available for North America and can this phone be actually used as a "cell phone" meaning is it totally portable outside of the house?
I wish it were available in Canada right now.
Thanks
