Innovative Ipevo Solo Skype desktop phone launched in Taiwan

The Ipevo Solo desktop Skype phone first surfaced at CES back in January this year, so it's great to hear last week's announcement that the phone is now available in Taiwan. Taiwan is a massive market for Skype already, and phones like this not only outline Skype's commitment to the area, but also give a pretty good indication of Skype's intentions towards business users (although this would make a funky home phone too!).
Ipevo names this phone 'Solo' for a simple reason: it doesn't need a computer! Skype is built in to the phone itself, and all the important features such as Skype status, buddy lists, user search and voicemail can be accessed from the large, adjustable 2.4" full colour screen. With other features such as caller info and remaining Skype credit display and a built-in speakerphone, let's hope the Solo soon makes it to other markets too.
From June 11th Taiwanese Skypers will be able to buy the Solo for a reported NT$4,990 (US$150). Once we've got our hands on one, a full review will of course follow.
