Skype's birthday winner

Skype recently turned three, in the same week that I turned somewhat older, and I got completely trounced in the battle of the birthday cards. But I'm not bitter. Not. At All.
Hundreds of you responded to the Skype birthday card competition by sending all manner of creative e-cards, pictures, videos and even a podcast.
Creator of the celebratory masterwork you see above is called Susan Falkenthal. Virginia girl Susan is currently living in South Korea, making her the perfect poster-child for a global communications company.
"I wanted to experience another culture, to broaden my horizons," says Susan. "So I left the States and went half way around the world to teach English." Susan has been a dedicated follower of Skyping ever since her first day in Korea. "Day one was marked with a Skype call from the youth hostel to family back home. Nowadays, my sister Skypes me anytime she sees that I’m online – in fact we keep in touch more than we ever did before. And I Skype my mum to keep her updated on my life and health.
"I can talk to my family for free from the other side of the globe! That’s just power."
You can see loads more entries on Flickr, but here are my personal favourites. I have no idea what a camel's mouth has to do with Skype, but it's a great photo. And the chap with the sideys looks like Graeme Garden from The Goodies, don't you think?
