Nosing around the Community Projects

My visit to the developer zone yesterday turned into something of a magical mystery tour of brilliant new Skypetastic apps. Click any link and you find yourself wowing over ideas dreamt up and created by big-brained Skypers while they could be down the pub or lying in front of Strictly Come Dancing.
One of my favourite sections is Community Projects, where you get to road-test all the fabulous and curious apps that might one day take their place in the official Skype app family.
One of the latest additions is CallButler For Skype (that's it in the picture) adds all manner of tweaks to your Skype experience, such as text-to-speech, voicemail-to-email, Outlook integration and – the piece de resistance – "hold" music. The software is offered in free and pro editions.
If a new-fangled program works well and proves popular with Skype as well as with developer zone regulars, it may end up winning Skype certification – the ultimate badge of honour for net telephony gadgets and programs. For instance, Skypelook, an Outlook extension developed by Netralia, was Skype certified last month, and Wizzard Software's ringtone creator Audio Wizztones for Skype joined the fray a few days later. Could CallButler For Skype be next?
