30 more days to claim your free calls

It's dark, it's cold, and you've got at least three more months of this dismal winter nonsense to look forward to – but Skype's here to make your life warmer with its Talk for Britain free-calls-for-Skype-Credit special offer, which runs until the end of this month.
Just buy some Skype Credit (starting at £10), and you'll get free calls to UK landlines for the next six months. The only condition is that you need to be phoning from within the UK, which, given that you're reading this on the UK blog, you probably are.
You can claim your free calls until 31 December, and your six months of free calls start from whenever you activate them.

I purchased Skype credit and was told it would take 72 hours for my free call for 6 months to be set up. it is now 8 days and still nothing. I have sent 2 emails requesting help but no replies. When am I going to get this service activated and how will I know if I am making a free phone call or using my Skype credit. Up until now I have been happy with Skype but since I purchased credit I cannot get Skype to respond to my emails. Dissapointed elsagsd

I had a similar problem initially. I sent various emails requesting help to the techie staff who were very swift in sorting it all out. If you still have a problem after 8 days then chances are you've not emailed the "right" person! Don't give up ...
