Skype gift days are back — free SkypeOut minutes for everyone in the UK

In April, May and June, we’re giving away free SkypeOut minutes to call phones around the world like there’s no tomorrow.

If you’re in the UK, you can claim ten free minutes of Skype credit on three different occasions: Thursday 26 April, Thursday 24th May and Thursday 21st June — for a total of 30 minutes of calls you don’t have to pay a penny for.

All you need to do is to log into your Skype account on a Gift Day and claim what’s rightfully yours by clicking on the Redeem Gift link. The free credit will magically appear on your account no later than 12 hours from redemption.

If you think ten minutes a pop isn’t that much, how about this for some positive thinking. Ten minutes contain 600 seconds (or so our programmers tell me). Which sounds ten times better. Still not impressed? OK, it takes just one second to say, ‘I love you.’ Now imagine doing it 600 times in a row. Now you know what I mean.

The 600 seconds remark seems a bit wild when you have per minute billing.

My accounts are now receiving emails that my credit will expire on May 26th, despite having made calls a day or two before the offer, or today.

Rather surprisingly, the T&C relating to the offer have vanished off the Skype website

Um, where's the "Redeem Gift" link then? I can see "Redeem a Voucher" but that's not the same thing.

The 'Redeem Gift' link is not appearing for UK users today to claim their free Skypeout minutes, for some reason, despite this blog entry stating that it should.

Can someone please fix this or change the date for the UK users to get the free minutes?

About Gift Day in UK, they simply forgot about...

"The free credit will magically appear on your account" - looks like the "Redeem voucher" link has magically not appeared on the account page - another disorganised Skype "offer" ...

so today is 21 June and there's nothing on my account page.

I am very disappointed - aren't those of us in the UK going to get our free minutes then?

I want to thanks a lot how create this tools , it s magic , it allow as to save mony we can speak to the others during a long time over the net for free.

And also sometime we can find a gift for one day that s good thing too .
