Skype today launched the beta version of Skype 3.8 for Windows.
The new version has an improved and optimized audio library.
This means you’ll get:
— Significantly reduced background noise
— Less delay
— Fewer call drops
— Fewer cut-outs
— Change your headset, headphones or microphone without having to fiddle with settings
In addition, Skype has hidden the avatar by default in incoming authorization requests. Some people have been using images that others don’t find all that pleasing. 3.8 gives users control over those images.
Raul gives the lowdown on the new download at Skype’s Garage blog.
If you’d like to give the beta a try, go ahead and download it.
